ABOUT THE ARTIST
Petra Schott is a painter from Germany. Through her semi-abstracted compositions, she draws the viewer’s attention to our own internal questions, as well as on moments of vagueness, wonder, and the contrasts that pass too quickly in everyday life. She uses egg tempera and color pigments, or oils on canvas.
This work comes from the cycle "Into the open". In its little dashed lines it creates a vibrant atmosphere of searching and finding, asking questions and immersing yourself in the landscape. Heads appear to be visible in the foreground, but only like an association, like a thought that flies by.
