About the photo

Washington DC, 2020. “My first documentary of the protests was in June 2020 due to Covid restrictions for my family. The march/protests could be seen, found and heard all over the city. As I approached 16th street, right across from the now famous church, and what is now the Black Lives Matter Plaza I stood on the corner in the heated sun (one of the first very warm days) and caught this young man gazing at the sign that puts only some of this fight into perspective. A sign with as many names of those taken from this world unjustly by the police as can fit. Not all, there are so many more.”
